SMART goals for the week

I have started following Donna Partow's Becoming the Woman God Wants Me to Be: A 90-day guide to living the Proverbs 31 Life. This is actually the start of the second week, but we were still gone last week, so I am going to try to do some catch up. I want to share with you my process in this journey.

These are my SMART goals for the 90 days. Smart stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Reward, and Target.

Goal #1
Specific - Wake by 7:20 AM every morning
Measurable - by clock, and maybe a sticker on my calendar
Achievable - yes, now that we are going to be in the same time zone for a while
Reward - Pizza on Wednesdays (we play games and have friends over Wednesday nights)
Target - Claim reward only if I can do this for 7 days in a row

Goal #2
S - Push ups / or walk 20 min. every day
M - by clock or counting
A - yes, on rainy days I have a back up
R - I have to wait until I am finished before I can use the computer
T - I can claim this reward daily, but I also want to be able to achieve 6 weeks to 100 push ups

Goal #3
S - Go to bed before 11pm every night
M - by clock and maybe I should do stickers for this, too
A - Yes, but it will take the most self control
R - The whole family gets to go out for a treat
T - I have to do this 10 days in a row in order to claim this reward

Goal #4
S - I want to weigh less than 130 lbs
M - Check the scale, and also the waist band
A - Yes, 9 pounds is a reasonable amount to lose within time frame, and I have been there before
R - Massage ( I have a gift certificate that I have been waiting to use)
T - By the end of the 90 day challenge

I think these are good goals for me. I like that they can support each other, and that the rewards happen at different times. Although I did set these goals last week, I have only been able to keep up with the computer use one. But I am going to blame this on traveling.

Wish me luck, or better yet, pray for me to give me better self control.

What goals have you set for yourself?
